World Class, the largest health & fitness network in Romania, reinforces its commitment to community health and well-being by announcing investments of over 25 million euros in the modernization of existing clubs and the opening of new premium clubs and pools nationwide. The network aims to surpass the milestone of 100,000 active members in the next year and grow from 45 to over 65 health &fitness clubs by the end of 2027.

With a significant presence in 7 major metropolitan areas in Romania, World Class is a benchmark in the country’s health & fitness industry. The planned investment for the next 3-4 years demonstrates the company’s commitment to the continuous growth and development of the network, aiming to provide access to premium health & fitness services to as many Romanians as possible.

“World Class plans to continue to grow the premium health and fitness segment along with swimming pools with the intention to have clubs operating in key strategic locations across the country.  With an investment plan in excess of Euro 25 million over the next 3 – 4 years WCR intends to modernise existing locations and open more clubs along with swimming pools in key locations across the country expecting to have 65+ locations for customers to access premium fitness and health services.

We will continue to focus on teaching Romanians and their children the life-saving skill of swimming and on facilitating more physical activity by opening more Health and Fitness centres with pool and including kid’s activities to make them more physical active. All pool centres offer free access for kids up to 11 years old when their parents are members

In 2025, we will celebrate 25 years of World Class in Romania and we are preparing to further raise the quality of the health & fitness industry and advance in our mission to motivate and inspire more Romanians to be more active and live a healthy lifestyle,” said Kent Orrgren, CEO of World Class Romania.

The investment will focus on modernizing existing clubs, integrating state-of-the-art technologies, as well as opening new premium locations in key areas across the country. Through these initiatives, World Class aims to create a vibrant and motivating environment for World Class clients and exceed 100,000 active members in the next year. World Class will continue to be a catalyst for health, physical activity, growth, and development in the entire industry.

Through the initiatives of the #BeHealthy Movement for More Movement launched by World Class, the network is committed to continuing to educate and inspire the community to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle. The network will also continue to invest annually in organizing the largest urban health & fitness festival in Romania, the #BeHealthy Festival. This health & fitness event is offered free of charge to Romanians and will remain a pillar of health & fitness initiatives. For a whole day, participants have free access to the most popular group fitness classes, workouts, prize competitions, and motivational activities for all ages. Children enjoy special #BeHealthyKids programs, supported by specialized instructors.

The planned investments by World Class will not only redefine the member experience but will also have a significant positive impact on the country’s economy, creating employment opportunities and influencing the health of Romanians. A physically active population is associated with significant economic benefits. According to a McKinsey & Company study, an active population can provide an economic boost of up to 8%, which could mean a $12 trillion increase in global GDP by 2040.

By introducing cutting-edge technologies, modern facilities, and personalized training programs tailored to the individual needs of members, World Class will continue to raise the standards of excellence in the health & fitness industry. Thus, the expectations of members across the industry will increase, prompting other operators to improve their services to remain competitive. In essence, World Class’ investment plans will stimulate innovation and raise the quality of health & fitness services nationwide.
